Misty Copeland is undeniably one the best young ballerinas in the world today, despite not beginning ballet training until the “ripe” age of 13!
She joined the American Ballet Theater in 2001 and in 2015, Copeland became the first African-American woman to be promoted to principal ballerina in ABT’s 75-year history.
She is breathtaking to watch. Check her out here in several classical performances in Vail and a solo performance for a ballet Gala in Mexico city.
Enjoy your weekend!
