OPEN LEVEL JAZZ DANCE
With jazz at its base, Maria’s class combines many different styles of dance. Each class starts with a warm-up designed to build strength and flexibility; across-the-floor, a dance combination and then improvisation to enhance the artist’s freedom, self-expression and personal style.
Maria strives to make dance accessible to dancers and non-dancers alike. She teaches each student at his or her own ability and is interested in what “you” would like to achieve. Maria encourages self-expression, imagination and the joy of dance!
*The purpose and goals of our dance class are: A person who can dance and enjoys it. A person whose body is physically free of tension, strong, flexible, agile, responsive, with increased coordination, rhythm, overall body confidence, imagination and expressiveness.
