Maria Del Bagno was named one of LA’s top choreographer’s by the Los Angeles Jazz Dance Foundation. Her most recent project was working with renowned Choreographer Alan Johnson where she co-wrote and produced “Alan Johnson - Let Me Entertain You!” This dynamic retrospective of his work was greatly received at the Paley Center for Media. Other projects include her collaboration with actress Alicia Silverstone on a new project soon to be released. Maria recently choreographed a new musical called Gypsy In My Soul starring Irina Maleeva to great reviews and Illusions directed by Tony Award Nominee Randy Johnson.

Other work includes choreography projects for Disney, Mattel and Spin Master and producing and choreographing a new children’s TV show called The Wiz Kidz. She also had the honor to work with master acting teacher and director Milton Katselas as a choreographer on his original play Visions and Lovers starring Anna Gunn and Richard Lawson. Maria co-created an original musical with actor/director Richard Lawson, called From The Heart of Love. This musical, based on a book of poetry, was a great example of her evocative choreographic work. 

Choreography for other musical theatre productions include Les Miserables, Fiddler On The Roof, Legally Blonde, Grease, Peter Pan, Shrek the musical, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Little Shop of Horrors. 

Maria came into her own as a performer in coveted roles such as: Sheila in A Chorus Line, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and Ado Annie in Oklahoma. She had the great privilege of being directed by Gene Nelson as Young Vanessa in Follies.

Under the instruction and mentorship of Milton Katselas (at the Beverly Hills Playhouse), Maria enhanced her talent and skill both as an actress, dancer and director. She had recurring roles on Everybody Hates Chris, General Hospital, and Days of Our Lives, as well as film roles in projects such as Martin Scorsese’s Casino. 

Maria is also an instructor at the esteemed New York Film Academy in Los Angeles where she teaches dance and movement to young professionals. Maria greatly enjoys sharing her love of dance with people of all ages and levels from novice to professionals.
